The Hat – Finished!

I finished the hat itself Sunday (the morning before Yom Kippur), but I haven’t had a chance to take pictures until today.

So. Here is the finished hat:

It fits Jonathan beautifully, so all those attempts were worth it.

In other news, we put up our sukkah today. It just needs some furnishings and decorations and we’ll be all set. I’ll take pictures tomorrow, bli neder.

I tried a somewhat fancy way of decreasing, trying to get a nice spiral. I didn’t get that, but the top looks nice anyway.

Beautiful hat … the stitches all look so perfect and even! I like the color combination also, especially for a guy.

My guy picked the colors – he has excellent taste.

As for the “perfect” stitches –

    1. I’ve been keeping my hands relaxed. My knitting is looser – I think I’ll always need smaller needles – but more even. And they hurt less, and fancy stitches are easier. It’s a win-win.

    2. Blocking is magic, even for things like k1p1 hats.
